Breaking News: Seven More Charged in Fatal Chapel Hill Crash, Including Two UNC Football Players

Seven additional individuals, including two UNC-Chapel Hill football players and employees from at least one local bar, now face charges connected to a tragic January car crash that claimed the life of a UNC-Chapel Hill student and injured two others.
Authorities have stated that alcohol played a significant role in the crash. The newly announced charges, revealed on Friday, are all related to underage drinking.
The incident occurred early on Sunday, January 21, near Meadowmont. The driver of the vehicle involved, also a UNC-Chapel Hill student, was arrested on February 14 and is facing a series of criminal charges, including driving while impaired, felony death by vehicle, and involuntary manslaughter.
According to a police announcement, a third student, reportedly another UNC football team member, was also charged.
