Breaking News: Fatal Head-On Collision Claims Life of High Point Woman in Archdale
December 30 , 2024Archdale, North Carolina — December 29, 2024 — According to MSN, a devastating crash on North Main Street left one person dead and another seriously injured, according to local authorities.
The Archdale Police Department responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of North Main Street and Marshall Street. Investigators revealed that a Ford Mustang, traveling north on North Main Street, veered across the center turn lane into the southbound lane, colliding head-on with a Honda Accord.
The driver of the Honda Accord, identified as 68-year-old Linda Jean Marrs of High Point, tragically lost her life at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Ford Mustang, a man also from High Point, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities have determined that excessive speed played a significant role in the crash. Pending further investigation, charges may be filed against the driver of the Mustang.
