Breaking News: Hit-And-Run in Whiteville Leaves Construction Worker Dead at the Scene
November 14 , 2024Whiteville, North Carolina — November 13, 2024 — According to WWAY 10 and the North Carolina Highway Patrol, a construction worker, David Jackson, 39, was having lunch with co-workers on the side of Georgia Pacific Road.
A white GMC truck driven by Chloe Sagendorph, 27, left the roadway, striking Jackson and leaving him dead at the scene. Sagendorph left the scene, hiding the truck behind a home 1.5 miles away.
Sagendorph was charged with DWI, Felony Death by Vehicle, Felony Hit and Run, Failure to Maintain Lane Control, and Failure to Report an Accident.
