Did you know that If you have a workers’ compensation claim and are out of work, the presumption is that by signing your WC checks, you represent that you are NOT working anywhere? The Industrial Commission rules allow a WC carrier to add language to a benefit check that a workers’ endorsement on the check is their certification that they have not worked for or earned any wages from any business or individual during the period covered by the check. Of course, there are exceptions- which you should review with a Board Certified Workers’ Compensation Attorney.
