Breaking News: Navy Veteran Killed in Asheboro Gaming Center on Veterans Day
November 6 , 2024Asheboro, North Carolina — November 4, 2024 — According to WXII 12 and Asheboro police, a Navy veteran, David Matthew Davis, 39, was shot to death on Veterans Day during an armed robbery.
Davis, an employee inside the 64 Skillz business, a gaming center located on East Dixie Drive around 7:30 a.m. Police said the suspects fled the scene after the shooting.
They’re investigating the shooting as a homicide. They have not released any more details at this time.
According to Davis’ wife and 64 Skillz, he was a Navy veteran. According to the Asheboro Police Department, the business owner will offer a substantial cash reward in this case.
